Penelope is a 7-year-old Pug in Naperville, IL, who needs $2,000 for exploratory abdominal surgery.

We purchased Penelope as a puppy from a local breeder. My oldest was turning 10 years old and had wished for a pug for 3 years. Penelope has been the best addition to our family. We LOVE her immensely. Penelope lives with me (a single mom) and my 3 children (17, 13 and 9). She is the queen of the house.

Penelope sleeps in bed with her owner...my daughter. They are inseparable and have been together for 7 years. Penelope LOVES to play ball. She will whine at you until you pick up the ball and throw it. This is her favorite activity. She has a huge fenced in backyard and loves to wander and explore. When she is in the house, she is on any human's lap. She loves to cuddle.

I am a single mom. The children are with me 24/7/365. We are on a limited income. I have already spent $5,000 on the 2 previous visits (endoscopy and surgery). I would really appreciate help in saving our girlie. She is our world.

Penelope had a few small silicone toys in her stomach for about 6 years. We had no clue she swallowed them as a puppy. She exhibited no signs to us/ vets ever. We found them while doing an X-ray. She underwent an endoscopy but that was unsuccessful on February 17th. She underwent exploratory abdominal surgery on February 22nd. She is having another surgery 2/27 due to complications.

Penelope is the sweetest dog. Even going in for her 3rd time in 10 days today for her 3rd time being put under anesthesia, she was wagging her tail and licking the vets. She is a lover. She will lay with you when you aren't feeling well. She loves to lick my 17 year old and make sure she is fully clean and groomed.
