Penny is a 4 year old Beagle in Athens, OH, who needs $1,100 for X-rays, Fluids, Meds, and Possible Surgery.

Penny showed up in our life as a rescue. As I was driving through town this small very friendly beagle puppy jumped in my car and promptly ate all of my powdered donuts. After an owner didnt come forward we decided to keep her as she was a great companion to our other two dogs and she was as sweet as can be. She is fun and so great to be around but lately she hasn't been herself.

She’s been suffering from painful stomach issues, including severe diarrhea, weight loss, vomitting and extreme lethargy. She’s clearly uncomfortable, and it’s breaking our hearts to see her this way. We haven’t been able to get her to the vet yet, but we’re trying to get her an urgent appointment to find out what’s wrong and get her the care she needs. She needs to see a vet urgently.

This is Penny — our sweet, gentle Beagle mix with the biggest heart and the softest eyes. She came into our lives as a rescue, but it feels like she rescued us. Penny has filled our home with love, laughter, and a sense of adventure. Whether she's romping through the woods with her puppy siblings or cuddling up with her human ones, she’s always been the happiest, most loving soul.

As the current economy is forcing many lay offs sadly our family falls into that. With a son with special needs the bills are a lot and funds for pet care are very limited currently but we do not want our girl to suffer through this pain she is having.
