About this campaign

Penny is a sweet and active chocolate Labradoodle that came into our lives 8 months ago. We love Labradoodles and have an 14-month-old Labradoodle as well. Both live with us in Camas, WA. Penny was born on a farm in Oregon and has been living with us in our home since we adopted her. Her living situation is favorable as we love our pets like our kids.

Penny enjoys being outdoors and excels on the hiking and running trails she is vivacious and loves to play with our children and her life partner Mystyr Watts (our 14-month-old Labradoodle). She is well-behaved and has no issue holding her own when necessary. She loves attention and will not hesitate to nuzzle you for a pet!

Penny is so loving and so eager to please. She has been a joy to train and is so intelligent. We hope to breed her one day to provide others with her puppies to love and enjoy. She is just the best and has so much love to offer to all. We hope to nurse her back to health so that she can continue to enjoy life.

Penny suffered a fractured femur on 2/2/23 while playing with our older pup. She has been in the care of of a veterinary specialist, since 2/3/23. She is kenneled and stable. She is in good hands and as comfortable as can be.

We are on a fixed income and I am disabled. I only work part-time. We did not expect such an emergency. We certainly didn't expect the total corrective cost to exceed 10k! We've been in contact with multiple vets/surgeons and all require 100% funding prior to surgery.
