I got Penny in 2016. I was playing roller derby then, and a friend was fostering her. I had been thinking about getting a second cat for my other cat Jack, and she was gorgeous and I adopted her. She was already named Penny, and it suited her perfectly. She now has two younger siblings, Ollie and Luna, so she is the queen of the house.

Penny was diagnosed in February of 2024 with asthma, and taking her to the vet has been very traumatizing. She is terrified, and I hate scaring her. At this past visit on December 13th, I was told she has severe gingivitis, and her gums are swollen and inflamed. I asked the vet to look at her mouth because she was only chewing on one side of her mouth. She desperately needs dental surgery.

Penny loved her older brother Jack, and when he escaped in 2022, she hasn't quite been the same. She tolerates her siblings, but doesn't have the same love of them as she did with Jack. Her favorite thing to do is beg for snacks, especially the feline greenies. She also loves to play with the laser light, and cuddle on my lap as much as possible.

I was unemployed for most of 2023, and in great debt, as well as trying to live paycheck to paycheck now that I am employed. There have been many unexpected expenses in the past 4 months, and I do not have money to afford the surgery, and my credit cards are maxed.
