About this campaign

Penny Lane is a 7 year old “rescue” who has an 11 year old Basset Hound sister as well as 4 cat siblings. She has been in my life her whole life. I was originally her groomer, turned into her owner. She is a goofy mini goldendoodle who has a seizure disorder that is managed with medications. She is my emotional support and I am hers. We are inseparable.

On Saturday April 25th, Penny was rushed to VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center due to spontaneous bruising. She was diagnosed with thrombocytopenia, an autoimmune condition that attacks the platelets in her body. She is not out of the woods yet, and will need extensive vet care going forward. She is currently on round the clock medications and strict kennel rest to prevent further injury.

Penny Lane is my whole world. She and her sister are the reason I get out of bed every day. Her bubbly personality always keeps a smile on my face and she knows when I need her the most. She will always come to me to comfort me when I am sad or crying. Even when she was at the ER she was trying to climb me to lick my tears away. She is such a devoted dog, just as I’m devoted to her.

I am currently going through major health issues myself right now, making my income extremely limited. My job is VERY flexible with me and I’m honestly lucky to still have a job at this moment in time.
