Pepper is a 6 month old Shiba Inu in Annville, PA, who needs $2,000 for Orthopedic Fracture Repair.

I got Pepper from a family who couldn’t take care of her due to health reasons. She was just 4 months old and needed a new family. I was looking for a pet and so it was perfect timing for her and I. We live together in my 2 bedroom apartment and she’s been well adjusted.

I came home from work one day and noticed she was favoring her right front leg by not putting any weight on it. Concerned, I picked her up and it was just dangling. We immediately went to the Hershey Animal Emergency Center and she was x-rayed and diagnosed with a Long oblique mid diaphyseal humeral fracture that will need surgery to repair. I just don’t have the money for it.

Pepper came into my life at a time I needed a companion. I moved to a new city and started a new job and she became my best friend and helped me get situated. Her energy is unmatched. Pepper is an appropriate name! She’s lovey, hyper at times, a big licker, and loves to run, jump, and play. She loves visits from my parents, friends and neighbors! She’s not herself right now. She’s sad and in pain.

This came at an unexpected time (as these things do) and I just wasn’t prepared to spend so much at once. Her surgery is the price of a decent used car. It would mean the world to Pepper and I if someone could help us with this. I can’t stand seeing her in so much pain.
