Pepper is a 6-year-old Mixed Boxer in Chesterfield, MI, who needs $2,000 for ACL surgery.

This is our baby, Pepper. We adopted her when she was 12 weeks old. She's the most loving dog we have ever had. She is also the strongest, she hides her pain with grace. She brings us all such joy and completed our family. Pepper enjoys providing love and affection, she can sense when someone is in need.

Pepper is our only pet, she is spoiled by all.of us. Pepper in return just wants to be a part of everything we do and show us the love. She takes away the stress of the day by just being her. She has calming abilities and used her playful skills to entertain us. She loves walks and car rides, going to the park and people watching.

Our baby is only 6, she has a lot more life to live. My daughter would be lost without her. We unfortunately cannot afford the $4,300 surgery for left leg, let alone the right leg 12 months later like recommended. We are just praying to figure out how to help our baby.

Pepper has serious ACL issues, her left leg is worse than her right. She limps and walks on 3 legs due to her pain. We lift her into the bed so she can sleep with us, Pepper is 80 lbs so lifting her can be an issue. Her leg ACL is torn and arthritis is forming around it. Her right leg ACL is ripped and getting worse with arthritis in this leg also.

Our daughter has social anxiety and Pepper is her saving grace to calm her and love her during many situations. Pepper has the most calming personality we have seen in a dog. Pepper thinks of us over herself. She loves to entertain us with her spouts of energy ad craziness that makes us laugh. She's very eager to meet people and other dogs she's very welcoming when they come into our home or backy
