About this campaign

Pepper is a wonderful catahoula leopard dog rescued from a shelter in late April of this year. He had been abandoned on the side of the road in rural Georgia twice. His adopted owners did not want him anymore. He spent several months in an animal shelter before being adopted by us. He has
Finally found a loving home with us.

Pepper enjoys playing with his best friend, lowkey a Siberian husky who is also a rescue. He like to pull me on my skateboard for long distances, he is a sled dog of sorts. He thinks he is a lizard hunter, though he has yet to catch one. He is good with other dogs and gentile with children. He likes to sunbathe and take long walks through the suburbs.

Pepper is very expressive with his ears, when they perk up you can instantly tell his mood. He loves his mom very much and loves to snuggle with the people he loves. His favorite activities include going to the park and playing with other dogs, and pulling me on my skateboard for long distances. Pepper enjoys sunbathing and thinks he’s a watchdog.

A few days ago pepper was playing with his best friend low key. This was during the recent hurricane Ian. One way or the other he too a tumble and ended up breaking his femur quite bad. He has been in good spirits and we didn’t realize the severity of the situation until x-rays were taken. He is being treated at a veterinary emergency hospital.

Recent divorce, and unexpected cost of surgery have put us in a tough spot. We would like to save his leg and his livelihood all together. A healthy pepper means the world to me and his mother.
