About this campaign

On February 14, 2022, a family members cat gave birth to a litter of kittens, marking Peppers entry into the world on Valentines Day. Pepper was destined for love from the very beginning, fitting for her birthday. She was adopted by her human mom Jessica, and their bond is history. Pepper now lives in Jessica’s apartment with her second mom, Hannah, and an older kitty sister, Beanie.

After a long struggle with shakiness, lethargy, bloodshot eyes, inability to walk, and sezuires, Pepper was diagnosed with Primary Polycythemia, which is very rare in cats. This disease causes Pepper to produce too many red blood cells, making her blood thick and viscous. To treat her condition, Pepper receives oral chemotherapy and phlebotomies at ARISE Veterinary Center with Dr. Todd Carter.

The moment Pepper hears an ice cube fall from the fridge, she is in the kitchen licking the ice cube before you even notice you spilled. And don’t leave your cup unattended, Pepper will lick every last drop of condensation off the cup before you take your second sip. Pepper is a lover through and through, and her nighttime cuddles like she is a baby in your arms can cure the saddest of days.

It took a long time to get Peppers diagnosis due to the rarity of her condition, which resulted in many vet and emergency vet bills. Pepper is our sweet, talkative, cuddly baby, and being able to continue her care and give her the fighting chance she deserves is our priority
