Pepper is a 13 year old Mix-Breed in Pineville , KY, who needs $2,000 for Chemotherapy/Radiation.

I rescued Pepper from the shelter in November 2017. At first, she was scared and wouldn’t let me pet her. After she got in my car, she laid her head back on the seat like she was relieved to be out of that place and has been my best girl ever since! She’s been my hiking buddy, my cuddle buddy, my road dog, and my best friend since she came home with me.

Pepper developed a lump on her leg and her local vet tested it. It came back as mast cell tumor. She referred us to an oncologist at Animal Emergency & Specialty Center. She was diagnosed with Stage III (T2N1M0) Cutaneous Mast Cell Tumor. They were going to remove the tumor but due to location and size, she was put on chemo. We are hoping to raise funds to do radiation.

Pepper has become a member of our family. I never knew one could become so attached to a dog. She is happy, friendly, smart, loving and wants attention all the time. She’s gotten older, but she still tries to make every step I take. They told me at the shelter she was an owner surrender. I’m not sure of their reason, because she truly is the best dog ever! I’m so happy I found her.

Chemotherapy and radiation are very expensive treatments. We are unsure of how long the process will be but hope to be able to get her in full remission.
