Pepper is a 12 year old American Longhair in Sioux Falls , SD, who needs $700 for Antibiotics and Blood Work, Emergency Vet Visit.

I have had Pepper since she was around 6 months old. A friend of mine's son had gotten her for his sister, but my friend couldn't have any more pets at her house. So Pepper came to live with us. I now have 2 children who are 9 and 11 who have known Pepper for their entire lives. We unfortunately had to move a couple times last year, and it was hard on Pepper.

Pepper had been acting lethargic and hiding. She didn't want to be with me, which is very abnormal for her. I took her to the emergency vet on 7/23/24, and they found that she had a fever and some kind of infection. She was dehydrated and required under the skin hydration as well as an antibiotic. Hopefully the fever and dehydration will pass in a day or two and she will start feeling better.

Pepper is truly my emotional support animal. She has been with me for 12 years, and through the most joyous and hardest times. I would not have been able to make it through leaving my marriage if I didn't have a friendly little face waiting for me on days I don't have my kids. Pepper is always by my side, she follows me everywhere. She is incredibly loving. She is timid but talkative.

My small business has been flailing for about a year, between my personal life, the economy, and a bad decision to move locations for my storefront. I am also going through a divorce. I don't have any available credit on my credit cards. I just want my girl to get better .
