Pepper is a 3-year-old Labrador/Rottweiler Mix in Winterset, IA, who needs $2,000 for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) Surgery.

Pepper blessed our lives after a very rough start to her life. At 10 weeks old she suffered an attack and was left blind in her right eye and a pretty severe underbite. She came into our lives at 5 months old with Parvo - a life-threatening viral infection. After much-needed hospital care, she SURVIVED and has been living her best life. She tore her CCL in 2022 which required expensive surgery.

Pepper lives like a princess. She's the sweetest, loving, playful, and anwry dog I've ever met. Her best friend is my daughter. When Pepper is not playing she is snuggling with her. Pepper's favorite activities are playing at the dog park and swimming in the lake. She loves all animals and wants to play and love everyone and everything she meets. Her life is chasing balls and lake swimming.

Pepper loves snow, water, and mud! Her favorite indoor activities aside from napping is stealing napkins, plastic bags, toilet paper and any clothing item she can get a hold of. It's a great chase and shred game that is played daily! :-) We love her and all her anwryness.

Another CCL tear has occurred on her other back leg while doing what she loves and another expensive surgery is recommended. Her care is at Summit Veterninary Clinic in Winterset, IA and their team is the best.

This unexpected surgery is just not possible with being a single mother and already doing everything I possibly can for my teenage daughter and our most loved fur baby.
