Pepperoni is a 8 year old Dachshund in West Allis, WI, who needs $2,000 for IVDD Surgery.

I have loved Dachshunds for many years. We brought Pepperoni into our lives when he was 6 weeks old. He has another dog friend at home named Oreo, which is a Rat Terrier. Our family loves them so much!

Pepperoni suddenly started yelping in pain a couple of weeks ago. He was not doing the things he normally does as a happy dog. We took him to Waukesha Walk-In Clinic. The vet believes he has IVDD. Pepperoni's symptoms are worsening quickly. He will be going to see a specialist tomorrow at Wisconsin Veterinary Neurology & Surgical Center. He may need labs, MRI and surgery and follow-up care.

The first 6 months of Pepperoni's puppyhood he would sleep on my neck and chest every night. I would call him my infant baby. Now he sleeps by me every night making sure his body is touching a part of mine. He loves to snuggle close to everyone. He protects our family. He loves to chase squirrel and bunnies. He loves other dogs too. Two weeks ago he was healthy and now he cannot walk.

We are in need of very expensive surgery all of a sudden. We do not have emergency funds for this. I am not a care credit candidate. The clinic does not take payment plans. Credit cards are not an option either. The longer we wait the more chance for permanent paralysis.
