About this campaign

This summer we had 2 ferel mom's give birth to 9 kittens. We were able to bring one mother into our home. She had 6 kittens, but only 5 survived. The other mom gave birth to three kittens in our car port. Only one has survided from her liter. She has since disappeared. We have been able to have the first mom spayed and she is friendly and manageable.

We have 5 very active kittens currently sharing our small mobile home. Feeding them is very expensive. My husband is retired and we are on a fixed income. We are only supposed to have 3 pets according to the mobile home park rules, but since they are ferel, we were not able to find homes for them. All the shelters in our area are full and the rescues are not taking any surrenders at this time.

We both love all animals, but since we are 70+ they are quite a handful for us. We would like to have them spayed/neutered so that we can let them outside during the day. We will not be able to keep them inside much longer since we have have a mix of males and females. The one kitten that was born outside is a female and it is only a matter of time before she gets pregnant.

The outdoor kitten will need to be spayed first followed by the inside male kitten. Our vet is Dr. Amir Liaghat at Pico Veterinary Hospital in Yorba Linda, CA. The cost to spay/neuter all of the kittens would be approximately $1750 which includes medications. I will be paying for the initial physical exam, shots and deworming.

We couldn't bring ourselves to hand them over to the pound and we are trying to do the right thing, but we can't afford the care they deserve. Once they are spayed/neutered, we might be able to find new forever homes for some of them. We plan to keep 2 if possible.
