About this campaign
We made a family decision during the stay at home in order to adopt Pete because of rescue overcrowding. We used Petfinder to locate a dog that would fit into our pack. My daughter and I found Pete and we said WOW he is perfect, so the next day we drove 3 hours to meet him, he was irresistible and was soon traveling home with us. Oddly, the rescue did tell us he was returned numerous times.
Pete loves to play with the rest of the pack. Pete wakes up everyday kissing us and I think he is literally thanking us for being here. I think because he was returned numerous times he really values being here and every time he wakes up is like yay I’m still here! This little guy just loves life and has so much left to give.
I am a single mom, with two daughters in college ages 17 and 19. I have spent the money I had set aside for what I have already needed to do to treat my dog. To have him healthy and like mean everything to me. He’s my best friend.
We rescued Pete and took him for a standard visit to remove puppy teeth that hadn’t fallen out. The rescue said the murmur was innocent and he would grow out of it. 3 vet appointments later we have a diagnosis of pulmonic stenosis which he needs a balloon valvuloplasty. His heart on his right side is working so hard, this procedure will relieve the pressure.
Pete loves to talk, he is a very vocal little man. He loves to hide behind the banister on the couch when he is not getting attention and then jumps on your head and kiss you face. It’s something I love so much and look forward to when I get a massive amount of kisses. Pete also loves showing he’s happy by doing zoomies and chasing his tail.
