Peter B is a 7-year-old Domestic shorthair in Geneva, IL, who needs $700 for diagnostic testing.

I adopted Peter when he was 1 and suffering from a hernia. We've been through so much the last 7 years together and I can't imagine life without him. His unconditional love gets me through my worst days. He now needs diagnostic testing and treatment done and I feel powerless as I have no way to pay. I can't bear to lose him.

Peter lives with my other cat, Phinneas Trout and I. We currently live alone. I am chronically ill and am often left bedridden, and peter stays by my side, making sure to give me unending amounts of love while I recover. Phinny and Peter love to play and chase eachother and even like to cuddle on my bed. I can't imagine one without the other.

All I want is Peter's health & happiness. A combination of chronic illness, unemployment and no savings from living paycheck to paycheck from what little I make have made it hard for me to care for him.

I've been working with the same vet and getting no results because I can't afford to see a vet that won't bill me instead of making me pay up front. Peter is finding it hard to want to eat or drink. He isnt using the litterbox much, and he has been throwing up regularly. Sometimes he has blood in his stool. The Vet is Lombard Veterinary Hospital in Illinois.

Peter is strange in many endearing ways. When he is overjoyed, excited, or feeling lovey, he chews on my hands/feet/leg or whichever body part is closest. Whenever I lay down, 99% of the time I can expect Peter to come lay on my chest extremely close to my face and purr as loud as possible. He also likes to groom myself and Phinneas Trout!
