Petey is a 10-year-old Tabby Cat in Clarksville, TN, who needs $650 for Echocardiogram and Abdomen Ultrasound.

Petey came to our lives in 2012. He was brought to the house by his mom and his little sibling. In January 2013 his mom thought it was time for him to be on his own and dropped him off at my door step. He had a little frog meow and even though we already had multiple cats I took him in. He was suppose to be only here temporary but he has stayed for the past ten years and he is part of our family.

Petey is big part of our family. He loves sitting by my daughter at night and get special treatment from her. He also loves to play with his brothers even though they are all seniors now they still like playing with each other. For nap time he likes to sleep in my bedroom and for a while he was the king of the bathroom. You could also catch him taking a quick cat nap in the master bathroom.

Petey is a special cat to us. He loves sitting by the window and talk to the birds. He absolutely has a sweet tooth and loves whipped cream. Even though he can’t eat it anymore due to his condition. I think for the first five years of his life with us we carried him everywhere. Before we knew it he became a little roly poly. His Nick name is Petey satin pumps because his fur is so soft.

In 2021 I noticed that Petey started to lose weight. Finally in May 2022 he was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. In October 2022 we sought a second opinion because he kept losing weight. We found out that he was extremely overmedicated. His new vet told us that he needs an echocardiogram and abdominal ultrasound to rule out any other potential condition.

My daughter and I are the only family members that are taking care of the animals. We also feed stray cats. We made this commitment to be the guardians of our animals and want to help petey feel better again. Receiving help would be a huge blessing for us. Petey is loved.
