Hi! I am Petey and I had a rough start. I was beaten and thrown away. A Good Samaritan picked me up and brought me to Southbury Animal Control where I waited 8 long months. Until I was sent to the Wolcott Animal Control. Through them I found my forever home.. A very happy 8 years.

I have a large mass in my abdomen, which is opreable. It was dicovered by accident while i was being treated for something else. I am going to be scheduled for surgery at the VCA Animal Hospital in West Hartford, CT

Wherever Petey goes he makes friends. People stop in parking lots to say Hi. He loves sticking his head out the car window and talking to people in other cars.

This was sudden discovery. The mass didn't affect any organs so it did not show up in blood work. In October he had amaplasmosis which made him hemorrhage out his behind. That was an expensive visit. The emergency vet took x-rays and discover the mass.
