About this campaign

My Boston terrier HenRi and I decided that since my work schedule required me to be away from the house more than before that he would benefit from having a brother to play with and keep him company. He was 1½ at this time . We found a puppy and went to get him. The first night we had him I noticed something wasn't right and mentioned it to our vet the next day while getting his check up.

Little did I know at the time what I thought was to be a cold was much more than that . Petie was diagnosed brachiocephalic syndrome with an elongated palate and stenotic snares at Southfield Animal hospital. At the time that he was diagnosed he was 11 weeks old. This is a hereditary condition that is not supposed to be bred per the AKC. The earlier the diagnosis the worse the abnormalities are.

Petie had 2 grand mal seizures at 15 wks in 24 hr I was terrified and drove him 4 hrs back to the breeder to take him in to the vet and see if they could pin point a reason. In the week he was gone I was so upset HenRi was depressed. If he was going to have a decent life I had to get him back from the people that breed him to be this way. He's 1yr and cond is worsening and causing secondary issues

His quality of life will be greatly increased by surgery to fix abnormalities. It's difficult to watch him struggle to eat and breathe. Being able to help him would be the right thing to do as the breeder has already forced this into our lives with the irresponsible breeding
