I got Phoebe just less than two months ago when she was 2 1/2 months old. I had been wanting to get a puppy after my older dog Zoe passed in 2021, but wasn’t rushing it. I have a 7 year old mini Australian shepherd Jaxon and he really seemed like he could use another friend. I brought Phoebe home and he immediately took to her like she was his little baby and has looked out for her since.

Phoebe has been a mamas girl since day one and always wants to be by mama. She also really loves her grandma as a close second to mama (haha). And of course her big brother Jaxon who she makes play with her all day long. Phoebe LOVES to play ball and will go fetch about 1,000 times if you’re willing to throw it!

Phoebe has a HUGE personality at only 4 months old and is so sassy and so silly. Since we first brought her home the funniest thing that she does is use her big brother as a step stool to get onto the couch. She can be crazy and get the zoomies, but she also is extremely loving and loves affection.

Phoebe was perfectly healthy and in great shape until 2/8, the day after puppy vaccines, she unexpectedly had a seizure and was unresponsive. We went to three different hospitals before we found one that could treat her although they aren’t totally sure what has caused it she is getting better. She is currently being hospitalized.

We hadn’t set up any sort of pet insurance yet and had no emergency fund to cover such a big expense. We are now having to pay for three different hospital bills because of lack of care/ cost of care. I have been in the process of starting a new job but haven’t started yet.
