Phoenix is a 12-year-old Beagle Mix in Bolingbrook, IL, who needs $1,000 for dermatitis.

Phoenix was adopted from a no kill shelter about 12 years ago. From my understanding he was abused and actually had a name of Snickers. However, I had to change it due to the amount of abuse he endured, he wouldn’t respond to that name. It took him a while to gain our trust a became less timid. Phoenix has such a beautiful soul.

Phoenix has a warm inviting personality with a hint of spice. He enjoys the company of many people with a trusting heart. Phoenix bonds well with anyone that comes for a visit and especially loves extra treats. Phoenix thrives on his love and affection received and given. He definitely loves company but lately loves to sleep.

I lost my job due to COVID 19 and having a difficult time with of medical expense for Phoenix. It’s extremely difficult because the money I do have is used to support my children as a single parent.

The name of the veterinarian that treats my dog is Brookville Animal Hospital. I just recently noticed he has a round missing patch of fur on his tail and also his ear infection is back attacking his floppy ears. Then I was told he has a gum disease, in which eventually his teeth will fall out at some point.

Phoenix is dear to me mainly for countless reasons. I enjoy his cuddles and soft but feisty personality. Phoenix definitely loves his naps and I can tell by the amount of snores he tends to share and the sounds he makes when he’s dreaming. The purity of his heart simply melts mine as each day passes
