My senior year of high school, i moved back to my small hometown across the country on my own. After i graduated, i adopted Phoenix from a local man in town. She was about 5 1/2 weeks old and the runt of the litter. It was an emergent situation, so i took my sassy sweet girl in and have loved her every moment since. She has two feline brothers and a big family she loves and protects dearly.

It’s been 8 years with my girl now. We’ve been through countless moves, including a long near cross country move back to my family. She’s the same age as my nephew and she’s always been good with kids & had so much energy. She’s a little older now and her energy has definitely dwindled a bit, she’s more lazy these days and wants her personal space. I feel her though. She still loves a good cuddle!

phoenix is so sassy! she has such a personality and isn’t afraid to make it known how she feels, from her huffs and puffs or her loud happy bark, you know how she’s feeling. I cal her wiggle butt because she walks with SO MUCH sass! She’s got these cute little teeth that her lips always get stuck on and her ears that flop opposite ways, or the way her tongue hangs out of her mouth after a good run

i noticed a lump on phoenix on monday, took her to Lantana Veterinary Center on Tuesday where she was diagnosed with breast cancer. The vet would like to do the surgery ASAP to ensure a hopefully full recovery and biopsy to find out next steps in her care. He wanted to schedule already but the surgery is almost $3000.
