About this campaign
Pickles was born March 30th. He was one of 2 kittens left that needed homes. His momma was a domestic that happened to get out and got pregnant. He was the cutest baby tuxedo with half a white mustache. I had no choice but to bring him home. We've had him since he was 8 weeks old. Our 3 year old daughter chose his name. Her and I both love pickles (the food). He is neutered and chipped.
Pickles is picky. He only comes to me. If I sit on the couch to get the baby to sleep, pickles gets in my lap and makes "biscuits". He sleeps with me. He'll run to me when I call him. He definitely chose me. He's my comfort companion. Helps with my postpartum blues.
Just a few days before Christmas, my toddler opened the backdoor,Pickles ran out. We couldn't find him. I figured he'd come running back because he never passes up his evening dinner, seafood patte. We didn't find Pickles till early afternoon the next day (12-22-23). According to the neighbor. He crawled home while crying. He thought it was a stray in labor. 3am and dark out. Spent 12 hours@ER
Pickles ended up with bi lateral broken femurs and a broken pelvis. He needed surgery to fix it. He has had the first surgery so far, thanks to a non profit helping me find low cost surgery for low income family's. Pickles needs his second surgery to remove the pins. The vet office is Humanitarians of Florida in Lecanto.
We maxed out our credit cards between 4 vets visits and his first surgery. The next surgery is in 3-5 weeks depending on how he heals. We still need$500. It would mean the world to us if we could be blessed with some assistance
