Pickles is a 5 month old Pug. My husband and I have always had dogs, but we were waiting for our sons (8 & 9) to be old enough to love and care for a puppy. Pickles was a Christmas gift for our sons that we picked up on Jan. 24th and has become a special member of our family and been an amazing help to our eldest who has Autism.

Pickles is a fun loving, angel of a Pug that has already brought so much love and joy to our house. He has learned out tho potty outside, sit, stay, lay, go to bed - he is such a smart boy. He also is a caring companion to our eldest son who has autism, he loves to lay on the couch with Pickles when his anxiety is high and just pet Pickles. He is a huge part of our home.

This is a significant unexpected expense. Our income is very tight right now as my husband will be finishing school this August and my business has suffered greatly with the pandemic - operating at about 60% right now.

He broke into the cat food and ate so quickly that he had aspirated, causing pneumonia. He also contracted some gastrointestinal issues from ingesting the cat food and ingesting it way too fast.
Diagnosis: Aspiration pneumonia, gasteroenteritis, cholitis, intestinal insusseption.
Right now he has spent 2 nights at the vet undergoing round the clock treatment.

He's a pug - need I say more?! He is a little clown that is silly, sweet, inquisitive, and the most loveable dog ever! He loves to chase is sisters (2 cats) around the house and snuggle up with us on the couch every chance he gets. He is all of our little velcro that follows us everywhere we go. As he has gotten older he has taken on the role of our little protecter as well.
