About this campaign

When we first brought her home, her name was Pretty Kitty. She was a stray rescued from an animal hospital that tragically burned down and in the chaos she lost her kittens. Her nose is slightly broken and hairless which is how she earned the name Pinky. She’s an indoor cat who lives with just my Mom and I and she’s more than a pet. She is my best friend and my mom’s constant comfort.

At her annual check-up we discovered two hard masses on her belly, and our veterinarian is highly concerned that it may be feline mammary cancer. This needs to be addressed as soon as possible, ideally before March, and that treatment may require removal of her entire mammary chain to give her the best possible chance. Pinky needs urgent blood work and a biopsy to confirm the diagnosis.

These costs are overwhelming, especially since my Mom and I are both currently back in school, and Pinky depends completely on us for her care. Her last vet visit was very expensive and we have a scheduled a second opinion this coming week.

My Mom and I are both currently back in nursing school. My biggest hope is for her to see us graduate. Pinky depends completely on us for her care. Her last vet visit was very expensive and we have a scheduled a second opinion this coming week.
