Piper is a 5-year-old Calico- Shorthair Cat in Canonsburg, PA, who needs $1,000 for Dental Surgery and Extractions.

Piper came into my life back in February of 2020. I had recently started my very first job, graduated college, and had lost my best friend in a car accident. It was my first time living alone and I was starting to get very lonely. I decided I was going to adopt a kitten, but when I went to the shelter, they had no kittens available. I ended up seeing Piper and it was love at first sight.

Piper is the sweetest cat you will ever meet. She loves anyone and everyone she meets. She will come up onto your lap as soon as you sit down and demand to be petted by rubbing her head against you. She keeps me company all day and sleeps right next to me every single night. She’s silly, sweet, and just an amazing cat.

Piper is special because she was (and still is) my saving grace. Without knowing at the time, I had adopted her about a month before the pandemic hit and everything shut down. I was locked in my apartment, alone, for months. Having Piper with me kept me happy and made me feel less alone. We would play every day and spend time watching movies and she would watch me play video games.

I took Piper into the vet thinking that she just had bad breath. Unfortunately, she likely has an infection in one tooth and possibly one other. She has to undergo a dental surgery which is very costly. The vet treating her is from Akeso Veterinary Clinic in Canonsburg, PA and the vet treating her is Dr. Carly Dorazio. I have only met her one time, but she is incredibly kind and cares very much.

Currently, as a 3rd year teacher, I am struggling to keep up with the rising costs of rent, groceries, gas, and all other every day needs. My car also died last year so I’ve been paying for a new one.I desperately want Piper to be pain free as she is genuinely my best friend
