Piper is a 9 year old Siberian Husky in Corydon , IN, who needs $2,000 for Diabetic Regulation.

We have had Piper for about a year now. We rescued her from previous owners. We do have 2 other dogs both males and fixed. One is named Apollo he is a pitbull mix and Riley is the other. He is an Australian cattle dog mix.

Piper has just been diagnosed with diabetes. She is 9 years old and we feel like she still has a lot of life left to live. Shively Animal Clinic in Louisville, KY is wanting to do a week of regulation testing on her to see how much insulin she needs and to really be able to regulate her blood sugar. We can afford the insulin after it’s just the regulating step we will struggle to pay.

Piper is very special. She is sassy. She loves ANY treat given to her. She loves getting new collars. Piper genuinely knows when something’s been bought for her. She does still enjoy playing sometimes even though she’s a little bit older. She’s very well behaved. Can be let outside freely and never runs off. She is loyal and very loving. She has been a complete joy to have since we’ve rescued.

This has been completely unexpected! Insulin we can cover, but we need help on getting her blood sugar regulated to see how much and what kind of insulin she really needs. We really want many more years with our girl. It would mean the world for her to be completely healthy!
