Please Support This Sweet Girl's Leg Amputation

Piper was found in Hershey, Pennsylvania, by two kind women who were able to safely catch and secure her. She was about four months old at the time. One of the women who rescued her kindly offered to care for Piper while they looked for a rescue that could take her in. While in her care she took her to the vet. X-rays confirmed that she had a healed leg injury from being hit by a car.

The finder contacted Heavenly Paws and Piper was brought into foster care. Shortly after entering foster care, Piper was taken to Leaders Heights Animal Hospital for evaluation. Upon initial evaluation, the vet was optimistic that the leg may be able to be saved. Unfortunately, when the vet was performing surgery, it was discovered that the damage was more extensive and Piper's leg was amputated.

Piper is an awesome little girl. She interacts well with her foster family and the other foster's pets in the home. She loves to play with toys and chase the wand. She is a delightful little girl.
