Piper is a Lab mix puppy in Whitinsville, MA, who needs $2,000 for emergency surgery and Parvo treatment.

When Ryan adopted Puppy Piper last week, his son was so happy he cried tears of joy. Getting a puppy was ten years in the making for this single dad. He told his son as soon as he could buy a house, they would adopt a puppy. So Piper was cherished and loved the moment she arrived.

Sadly, six days after Piper arrived, she was diagnosed with the Parvovirus, which can be deadly for puppies. Piper is now at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, fighting for her life. She also developed complications, a build-up of bacteria in her intestines, and needs life-saving surgery. Ryan is facing more than $14,000 in medical bills for Piper, something this new home buyer and single dad can't afford.

Ryan was going to purchase pet insurance for Piper, but she had just arrived, and they weren't expecting this major of a medical emergency so quickly. The family is desperately trying to raise the money to pay for Piper's critical care.
