About this campaign
Pippin is a 5 year old corgi who has been a member of our family since he was 12 weeks old. He is sweet, full of energy, and loves playing with his two human sisters! Pippin lives in our home in western NY and is a favorite playmate to all of his cousin doggies that live nearby.
On Tuesday 5/7, Pippin abruptly lost function of his back legs and his ability to urinate. After being seen at two emergency vet facilities in western NY, Pippin has been transferred to BluePearl Pet Hospital in Pittsburg, PA where he needs emergency surgery to repair his spinal cord and hopefully restore his ability to walk and void urine.
One of the things that makes Pippin special is that his left ear sometimes goes floppy! Even though his legs are tiny, he has a HUGE personality. He loves playing fetch, and is quite good at catching Frisbees mid-air. If you blow bubbles for him, you will be his best friend forever.
On Monday 5/6, I had major abdominal surgery. Our family was not expecting to have to pay for two major surgeries in one week. We were given the choice between the emergency surgery for Pippin, which would save his life and restore function, or humane euthanasia.
