About this campaign
I adopted Pippy in 2021 from an animal shelter so I’ve only had him for 4 years. I adopted him bc my youngest cat seemed to need another friend since my other cat at the time was a senior and not playful. When I saw that Pippy had a best friend in the shelter but his friend got adopted I thought they’d be a good match for each other.
I noticed that when I switched from dry food to wet food, he stopped weight which makes sense. However, he eats the same amount as my youngest cat yet he seemed to be dropping more weight. I also noticed that his breathing was a little weird plus my youngest cat keeps smelling him and I knew something was wrong. I’m not sure exactly what his condition is but I know it’s serious.
He and my youngest cat get along well. When I first adopted him, he was very skittish and nervous and jumpy and while he still is, he seems much more comfortable, especially around me. He does like me more than anyone else in the house but for the most part he keeps to himself unless he wants to eat or if he sees my youngest getting attention.
I have OCD so it’s been hard to work and find a job that meets my strict criteria. I’m aware that his vet bills will be expensive and I’m trying to do everything I can to prevent surrendering him because he could be euthanized and I just went through this situation last year
