Pirate is a 2-month-old Mix Kitten in Salem, OR, who needs $500 for Enucleation.

I found a kitten two days ago and put it on my neighbors window because I was positive it was theirs. I went over the next day to check to make sure it was actually theirs and they have three litters of kittens. This one was cuddling up next to another kitten and when he lifted his head his eye was leaking fluids out of its eye. His eye was also crusted over and had a little blood coming out.

He is a joy to have around. He is in pain though. We have been keeping him comfortable with warm compresses and prescription eye drops and antibiotics. He has a healthy appetite. When I am home he clings to my side. His favorite spot is my should where he places his blind side against my face. He also likes to rest his nose on my cheek.

Pirate is a big talker. He will respond to you when you are talking to him. He is a big love and so far all that have met him have fallen in love with him. He cuddles all the time. I'm hoping once he is out of pain we will see a different more playful side to him. Right now I think he is in too much pain

Pirate has a hole in his left eye which is leaking fluids. He does not have sight in that eye. He has some ear mites also going on. Other than the eye and the ears he seems to be doing just well. Surgery is tomorrow to get his eye out. They will also be cleaning his ears at that time.

I am a divorced single mom with a 6 years old. I am in the middle of switching jobs due to a complicated situation at the last job. It would mean the world to my family for pirate to be healthy.
