Plyushik is a 6-year-old Scottish Fold Cat in Lasalle, QC, who needs $2,000 for Jaw Restoration Surgery.

Our Plyushik is 6 years old. We got him as a kitten in Belarus, then moved to Canada together. He's a scottish fold. His name means plush because he's very soft.

Overall he's very independent and doesn't like to be carried/touched for a long time. But sometimes he comes to be petted. Loves to be brushed. Hates bath/shower. Sleeps in the night often either with us or with our daughter. Loves to go outside to bird/squirrel watch and explore the backyard, sit on the fence/staircase.

It takes time for him to accept new people. Gets in an active/playful mood like once a day and runs around the apartment. A bit clumsy when he jumps somewhere but improved with time. Sleeps and lays often in funny stretched positions or on the back. Or hides his front legs so looks like sphinx but without them.

When he was outside escaped the backyard and was run by a car on the street. Has dislocated and fractured lower jaw, broken teeth, the other jaw to be examined. To be operated tomorrow in Lachine (Montreal) CENTREDMVET by a dentist-surgeon.

Currently estimated cost is 10k and may rise depending on the examination and the needed operations. He's a valuable member of our family and we are not psychologically able to put him to sleep. But the cost is hard to bear so if any part of it covered we would really appreciate it
