Poem came into my life from a responsible ABCA Border Collie breeder this spring. He's a sweet, sensitive puppy who is learning about the world one day at a time. He shares our home with my older Border Collie, Tana, and despite being shy with strangers, he's incredibly loving, playful, and eager to learn.

Poem was rushed to the emergency hospital after swallowing a foreign object that became lodged in his intestines. After monitoring and repeat X-rays, surgery became unavoidable. The obstruction was successfully removed, and he now has a surgical drain while he recovers. He is being treated at the emergency veterinary hospital in Las Vegas.

oem is my future service dog and my greatest source of hope. He's been training to one day retire my older service dog, Tana. He's affectionate, endlessly curious, and happiest when he's beside me. Watching such a young puppy face emergency surgery has been heartbreaking.
