Polar is a 9-year-old Poodle mix in District Heights, MD, who needs $849 for a dental with extractions.

Polar was a gift to me from my youngest daughter. I got him when he was just a puppy and now he is 9yrs old. We've been inseparable. I named him after his white color and when it grows out he looks like a mini polar bear cub. He gives me the emotional support I need because he's always with me. It's always the two of us.

Polar sleeps with me in the bed. He literally sleeps right behind me. He knows when it's time to go to bed and he gets in his place. If I leave the house, he'll lay across the top of the couch so that he can look at the window and wait for me to get home. He's the only pet I have so he's really spoiled.

My oldest daughter who lives in a different state calls me via video chat everyday and everyday she asks to speak to him. When she calls his name through the phone he ALWAYS comes running or into view. No matter where he is in the house and I love it! When we visit my daughter who lives out of state, she makes him dinner and gives him his own plate when we all sit down to eat.

I am looking to have Polar's two back teeth removed, which requires him to be placed under anesthesia. It has caused an infection that has appeared on the outside of his face. While the medicine they provide does help some, his veterinarian has explained that if they are not removed it could result in Polar's jaw breaking.

He has seizures from time to time that I also pay for the cost of his medicine. I am on a fixed income due to me being unable to work. I'm on SSI and I'm looking for any kind of financial help to help me get my baby better.
