Polo is a 5 month old German Shepherd Dog in Willowbrook, IL, who needs $2,000 for Heart Echo, Ultrasound, Abdominal Surgery.

We adopted Polo shortly after we lost our 9 year old German Shepherd rapidly to cancer. Polo and his human sister share a birthday so we thought it to be fate! He the most gentle loving dog and such a great addition to our family.

This past weekend our Polo became very ill unable to keep down water and food. After 3 ER visits, we discovered that Polo has a intussusception. It quickly became clear to us that Polo needed emergency surgery if he was going to live. The medical bills for Polo have quickly added up as we give Polo a fighting chance.

Polo is such a special puppy because he helps our toddler daughter who struggles with anxiety and fear. He is a wonderful companion who just got a rough start on a hopeful long life. He is just 5 months old and deserves a fighting chance.

As I, personally, have struggled with medical issues this year- we are already in some medical crisis and trying to pay what we need. It would mean more than the world to have Polo back in our house healthy and happy again.
