About this campaign
Pooch came into my life about four years ago when his owner was having problems and could no longer care for him. Pooch and I bonded instantly when we met. It was truly an instant bond. I became his mom and he became my son. Pooch required a lot of work when he came to live with me. He had minor medical issues and needed training. He was/is worth every minute. I could not have found a sweeter dog.
Ever since Pooch became a member of my family, my kids and grandchildren have all fallen in love with him. He is the sweetest boy, he is very gentle and absolutely loves to be loved on and to give love. People that were afraid of dogs before meeting Pooch, let’s just say he changed their minds with his charisma.
This is an unexpected expense. Pooch is everything to me. I am not ready to lose him. The surgery can save him. It will mean everything to me to continue to come home and see my love bug.
About a month ago, I noticed he didn’t have much stamina and his anal glands didn’t seem to be expressing themselves. I took him to his vet to be examined and they found a 2cm growth on his left anal gland. I took him for a second opinion and the vet confirmed that he did have mass on his left anal gland. The vet performed an aspiration of the mass to test for cancer. It was an anal gland carcinoma.
Pooch is very spoiled. He has an actual toy box and his favorite toy is a squeaky pig. To see him play with pig and take naps with it just makes you smile. He greats me everyday with a smile. The pure joy of coming home to see that face is priceless. The love he gives is unconditional. He makes me laugh with playful actions.
