Poppy Underwent Surgery-But She Needs You!

The other day, sweet Poppy underwent surgery to remove her damaged leg. It was completely shattered and beyond saving, causing her unimaginable pain. While it’s heartbreaking that she had to lose her leg, she is finally free from that suffering — and that is a huge step forward for her.

When you look at Poppy now, it’s almost impossible to comprehend what she has endured. It’s hard to understand how anyone could have hurt her so badly. Yet despite everything, she continues to fight.

Poppy is now in recovery. She’s eating well and being closely monitored, but she still has a long road ahead as she heals and learns to adapt. Stray Dog Support has yet to cover her initial veterinary care, and now they are faced with the costs of her amputation surgery and continued hospitalization.
