About this campaign
I am an 18-year-old college student reaching out with hope and humility regarding my new puppy, Presley. After working hard and saving to adopt her, I was devastated to learn shortly afterward that she has a heart murmur. Presley is my first dog, and she has quickly become an incredibly important part of my life.
My veterinarian, Dr. Mark Guidry at Animal Care Hospital, has recommended that Presley urgently receive an echocardiogram with a veterinary cardiologist to determine the cause and severity of her condition. One serious concern is the possibility of Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA), which can be life-threatening without prompt diagnosis and treatment.
I am currently working while attending college and am actively saving to cover the cost of her cardiology workup. I am fully committed to doing everything I can to care for Presley. However, if she is diagnosed with PDA or another serious cardiac condition, the cost of life-saving treatment may exceed what I can afford on my own.
My goal is simply to give Presley the chance at a healthy, happy life.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for the work you do to support animals and their families. I am deeply grateful for any consideration or assistance you may be able to offer.
