Unexpected Canine Parvovirus Expenses for Princess

Princess is a young dog who was found as a stray in Denison, TX. She was full of energy and quite vocal, but just a few days after Animal Services brought her to the shelter, she came down with Canine Parvovirus. Shelter staff quickly noticed she became lethargic and lost interest in eating. She was taken to the local Emergency Clinic, tested positive, and received the Canine Parvovirus antibody provided by DAWG, along with several other treatments. After three nights of care, she returned to DAWG as her lively, vocal self. While we’re thankful for the medical attention she received, it left us with an unexpected bill of over $1,500.
