Princess Leia “Leia” is a 7 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Lake Stevens , WA, who needs $5,000 for Cranial Cruciate Ligament surgery.

Leia is a rescue dog, we got her from Three Little Pitties back in 2021. She came from Texas, was found wondering the streets, abandoned after having a litter of puppies. She now resides in Washington state with 5 people who love her more than anything.

In July of 2025 I started noticing her walking different, unable to jump up on the bed or into the car for our daily puppy rides and walk. She then started really limping, I took her into our veterinarian that weve gone to for 30 years and they discovered she needs surgery to replace her CCL (also known as the ACL) to stabilize her knee joint which is currently bone on bone.

Leia is the most special to me but wins the heart of anyone she meets. She’s the sweetest, gentle, loving little being. After losing my husband and my father and feeling very depressed, I randomly scrolled through a rescue dog page and saw Leia and immediately knew she was special and I needed her. She is more than an emotional support for me, she is my best friend,she always knows when I need her

While my partner works I’m unable to due to parenting needs and my own health conditions. Leias surgery was quoted just over $5 thousand dollars which we unfortunately do not have saved and I cannot bare to let my dog continue to suffer, she misses our hikes and adventures
