Princess is a 8-year-old Pitbull Mix in Newtown, CT, who needs $2,000 for Cancer treatment.

I first saw Princess' pictures on a rescue's Facebook page. She had been found as a stray and was sent to the Brooklyn Animal Care & Control in NYC and was quickly put on the shelters euthanasia list, giving her only 24 hours to find a home. Something drew me to her, her eyes in every picture begging for someone to give her a chance to love and be loved.

Princess has been a constant, loyal companion to me for six years! We bonded immediately and she is my shadow! Princess' favorite things are laying in the sun, rolling around in the grass, giving kisses and demanding cuddles, car rides, bully sticks, and pizza crust, her brother Elmer, who she takes such great care of; always grooming him and making sure his eyes and ears are perfectly clean.

We are currently considering all our options because she is more than worth it. We want her to get the best care but funds are limited as I lost my full-time job during COVID and have been trying to make ends meet with my current part-time job. Cancer treatment is extremely$

Unfortunately, my sweet girl developed a growth that we had surgically removed on June 29th. The biopsy results came in about a week later confirming a cancer diagnosis of mast cell, stage 2, high grade. This diagnosis literally took my breath away. She has been given roughly 4 months to live without treatment. With treatment (possibly more surgery & chemo) she could be around for another year +

Princess has such a spunky, hilarious personality; always making me laugh with her antics. She loves to remind me it's time to eat by bringing me her food bowl and time to be pet when she nudges my hand with enthusiasm. I still see her spunky, hilarious personality shining through every day showing me that she still very much wants to be here with her family.
