Princess Peach is a 1 year old German Shepherd Dog in Ellettsville, IN, who needs $2,000 for Left Hip Full Replacement.

Princess Peach found herself needing a home at 3 months old so I did not hesitate to bring her home with me. She was covered in fleas, hot spots and mange so her first 4 months with me was spent doing treatments to heal her skin. Now that she's had her right hip replaced her pain level is not quite as bad but there is still alot of pain from the left hip.

Right after Princess Peach stopped itching 24/7 from her skin issues, she started crying a lot when standing up, walking and sitting down. I took her to Ellettsville Vet and after doing x-rays they found that both hip sockets were completely gone. We were referred to Purdue Small Animal Hospital which is 2 hours away (one way), she had her right hip replaced.

Peachy loves to play fetch...ball is life! Since her hips are so bad, she has taught me to play fetch. She lays on the couch and tosses me the ball with her mouth, I chase after the ball and gently toss is back to her. We will spend hours doing this. She also loves to cuddle and give kisses!! Peachy is a very kind hearted girl and loves to meet new people, she deserves a pain free life.

Princess Peach's right hip replacement was very expensive with a 4 month recovery time which requires a lot of medication and follow up x-rays. I took out a loan (as much as I would qualify for) but it wasn't enough to pay for the full hip replacement.
