About this campaign
Princess was a rescue that we took into our home in 2013. She had obviously had a litter of puppies very recently but we were never able to find them. She lives a wonderful life full of love and comfort now. We have had her for almost her entire life and love every moment of it. She loves her naps and laying in the sun every day.
Princess has raised our kitten and even started producing milk for him when he was a baby. They are inseparable. She loves cats, people, kids of all sizes. She is a huge part of our family and even our friends lives. Her favorite person is my boyfriend (her papa). She has been with him since day one and they are tied to the hip. I've never met a pair that loves each other so much.
We are on a fixed income and have been reaching out to friends and family for help. In total we need $6000 for the procedure/hospitalization. We have collected only $1400 so we are trying everything we can to find help for our baby girl.
She has been diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism. A thyroid gland in her neck will need to be surgically removed. The high risk is that her calcium levels must be monitored for 24 hours after the procedure and it they do not become stable she could be hospitalized for several days. Without the procedure her organs will eventually begin to calcify and shut down, resulting in kidney and liver failure
The bond that she has with our cat Mister is something I've never seen before between 2 animals. When she eats her dinner he comes in and sticks his paws in there to steal a piece or two and she has never minded sharing. In our eyes that her baby boy. They play and cuddle constantly. She is apart of every ones heart in our home and we don't want to lose her.
