About this campaign
We adopted Princess when she was 12 weeks old. She is the first dog my husband and I adopted as a couple. She lives with my husband and I and her brother and sister kitties. We named her Princess because she loves being the center of attention, her name fits her perfectly. My husband and I don't have any human children our fur babies are our children!
My husband and Princess formed an instant bond. My husband has epilepsy he has multiple seizures daily it can't be controlled by medicines or surgery. Princess became his special helper. When my husband starts going into a seizure Princess will start barking to alert me. Besides helping her daddy, she loves napping on her memory foam bed. She enjoys playing with her kitty brother and sister, too.
My husband is disabled due to his epilepsy. We're on a fixed income with barely enough money to put food on the table & keep a roof over our heads. Having Princess healthy and home again will make my husband so happy because then his special helper will be by his side.
Princess started not feeling well recently. She wasn't eating like normal and was experiencing some vomiting and diarrhea. We rushed her to Wilson Veterinary Hospital. There they diagnosed her with diabetic ketoacidosis. She is now a diabetic. We are asking for help to deal with this condition as it will require ongoing, chronic treatment.
Princess has a very special bond with her kitty brother, Buddy. The first day when we rescued Buddy, Princess laid by his side all night to make sure he was ok. Princess is terrified of thunderstorms and fireworks. Her favorite game is bark pong. She catches the balls and drops them inside the red cup. She loves going for walks and riding in the car.
