About this campaign

We have had Priscilla since 2011 when she was about 10 weeks old, she is now almost 12. Her nickname is Miss Priss and suits her very well. On 11/15/2015, she had her first and only litter of 8 healthy pups. We kept 1 pup and he is now 7, his name is Brutus and he loves his momma dog and has never been without her.

Priscilla and Brutus both love to take long walks, go to the dog park in Sausalito, or take a leisurely ride in the kayak. Ever since Priscilla was a pup, she has always liked to sit on my lap in the car's passenger seat. Her absolute favorite thing to do is dig holes.

Priscilla has always been a tough girl, not much scares her. She has never been a complainer or a whiner. We used to play this game where she would gently take an elastic hair tie off of my wrist and then chew on it for a minute before dropping it. I called it her bubblegum, because never once did she try to eat it.

Priscilla has a mammary tumor that needs to be removed. Because she has never been one to complain, we did not notice it right away. Back in May we were on a road trip when we noticed it was bothering her and we took her to a veterinary hospital where they treated her for the infection, and provided us with an estimate for surgery.

I used my savings and maxed out my credit card on just 2 visits. The estimate they gave us for surgery is over $3000 and I cannot afford it. Besides the tumor, Priscilla is a happy healthy loved dog and deserves a chance to live.
