Pudgie is a 6 year old Bullmastiff in Middletown, OH, who needs $1,000 for Entropia Eye Repair.

A friend contacted my family regarding a homeless man and his dog; He was hoping to place the dog in a home and out of the cold. My husband met the homeless man on a corner and brought the 140 lb. 5 year old dog home. He has since gained 25 lbs. He's been with us a year and a half now.

After taking Pudgie to his first vet appointment, after coming in to our care, the vet said he could grow larger and she diagnosed him with Entropia, which is the eyelids curling inward. His eyelashes are rubbing his pupils, and most assuredly are irritating his eyes in general. She said if this isn't correct as soon as possible, Pudgie will ultimately lose his eyesight.

Pudgie is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever encountered. He wants nothing more than to be right with the family, receiving pets and love. Most people who meet Pudgie fall head over heels for him. He's and handsome fellow indeed. He's laid back and an overall great dog, and deserves his best life; We want to try and give him that.

Times are difficult for everyone right now. We have our youngest child in college, so saving for Pudgie's eyes is near impossible for us. I hope he doesn't have to wait another year+ to have corrective surgery. The longer he waits, the more damaging his condition.
