Pudgie is a 5-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier in New Britain, CT, who needs $2,000 for Pyometra.

Pudge has been with us since 2015 when a family member moved and needed pet sitting for a couple weeks. She originally joined us as Rhea unbeknownst to her, but a smidge unflattering we decided Pudge was much more fitting for a cute, chunky pup. 5 years and a name change later here with us she stays and she’s been the best addition since.

Our feisty head of household gets whatever she wants and rightfully so. She’ll lay in the sun for hours as she pleases. She loves cuddles so much she’ll take over your bed so that you can’t fit. She’s always up for a good game of tug of war and will most definitely win too. Most of all she’s been our guardian angel always there for protection and comfort.

This was very unexpected and with no emergency fund we’re praying for help in a time where everything feels hopeless. Any amount would truly be a blessing in saving our beloved family member, and are most certainly grateful if this is shared. Thank you so very much !!

Pudgie is currently facing a uterus infection. She started off with vomiting and diarrhea but her health rapidly declined from there, becoming septic. We’re incredibly grateful to Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center for taking her in but Pudge is in need of urgent surgery that is far out of our budget.

Pudgies most favorite human is of course the one that doesn’t live with us anymore but that makes visits even more special, filled with cuddles, playtime, and treats. Her most favorite toys are stuffed animals she’ll cling onto and carry around everywhere. And she will absolutely let it be known when she wants something by stomping and barking.
