Pumpkin is a 10-year-old Domestic Longhair - Orange Tabby Cat in Maple Grove, MN, who needs $2,000 for Surgical Metacarpal Stabilization.

I was told about Pumpkin from another foster who found her on a website where she was being offered up for free to anyone who would take her as soon as possible. I drove to where she was and retrieved her as the current people caring for her weren't going to care who got her. When I got her she was caked in filth, matted, and skinny from neglect. I have been working to heal her since then.

Pumpkin is as sweet as pie and loves people, but she has been solo most of her previous life and I do not believe she was paid much attention to. It doesn't seem like she understands how to communicate or interact with other cats, so she has had spats with mine. With me, she loves to cuddle, and will repay any pets with licking.

Pumpkin is a Hemingway Cat, otherwise known as a polydactyl and has extra toes on I believe at least 2 of her paws. Despite her circumstances, she is full of love and is very gentle with people. Bringing her home the first time I had drench her in a tub and give her a complete bath, yet she didn't bite or lash out once. Anytime I give her meds she also only seeks to escape and flee.

Her immediate medical need is to take care of 2 broken metacarpal bones in her back left foot, caused from an accident a few days ago. My vet clinic is Cats Preferred and my primary vet there is Dr. Karen Randall. However, if it will save on costs, I am looking at other clinics and will update accordingly.

This is an unexpected and high expense that I cannot pay outright, and putting the expense on a credit card is going to undo my efforts to lower my own debts. I want Pumpkin to be as healthy as possible so she can be adopted to become queen of a new home roost.
