Punkie is a 11 year old American Shorthair in Las Vegas, NV, who needs $2,000 for Bone Marrow Diagnostic Test (Anemia).

Punkie and her sister (Mittens) came to me from my brother and his ex cats. Punkie is my "Bad Girl" cat that would end the fights that her sister started. She has this adorable way of blinking. It made my whole day when I see her blink (weird right). We live in a 3 bedroom and they have their own bathroom (literally), self-cleaning litter box, food dispenser (x2), and a 2.4 liter water fountain.

April of 2024, Punkie was eating more and urinating a lot. I went from changing her litter box from 15 days to 3 days. Near the end of 2024, I was told that she has diabetes. She was put on Bexacat and later switched to Vetsulin. On March 20, 2025 I found her lateral on the floor in Hyperglycemic Shock. She just had a blood transfusion for anemia. We are still looking for cause.

I am a Veteran that lost the chance to have children of my own due to a major medical surgery to save my life. I suffer from depression and felt lost until Punkie (and her sister Mittens) was born. Since 2013 Punkie (and her sister Mittens) have become my emotional support pets (my children). She was there for me whenever I was depressed. I do not want to loose her to illness.

I am on a fixed income and work jobs that are on-call. I am looking for a full time job so that I can cover any unexpected vet cost. As of now, I am borrowing money from my Mom to help me. I appreciate her help however, Punkie is my responsibility. I am struggling right now.
